Before you use it
A saved page is not automatically tamper-evident evidence. Record the source URL and capture time, hash the file, and preserve the original separately when provenance matters.

Access and privacy
Access: Free
Open-source repository on GitHub. Local or self-hosted use may require API keys, accounts, models, or other third-party services.
Privacy sensitivity: Moderate
Saving or opening a page can reveal the researcher's IP address and target interest to the source or extension provider.
Responsible use
- Capture an archive copy of anything important as soon as you find it.
- Note the capture date of archived pages; an archive shows a moment, not the current state.
- Cross-check archived claims against at least one independent source.
